Ass.Iter has been deemed eligible for this EU Funded Project NDICI HR INTPA/2025/489-167:
• Budget line: BGUE-B2024-14.020211-C1-INTPA (Total value of the Project 580.000€)
• Reference: EuropeAid/184361/DD/ACT/ER
• Project duration: three years (02.02.2026 - 01.02.2029)
The project includes three Axes and four Clusters of activitiies
1) Procurement and Delivery of medical materials and surgical and equipment for operating room focused on neurotrauma interventions.
2) Service and Works for Operating Room upgrade.
3) Trainings and missions: 6 specialised technicians for medical installations, a Neurosurgeon, Specialised Anaesthetician and Senior Nurses will be visiting and working in this framework.
Activities Cluster 1: Capacity Building
1. Specialist neurosurgical training workshops.
2. Nursing and anesthetic staff skill enhancement.
3. Training of general physicians for emergency neurosurgical interventions.
Activities Cluster 2: Infrastructure and Equipment
1. Procurement and installation of neurosurgical instruments and monitoring devices.
2. Upgrading operating theaters and ICU facilities.
Activities Cluster 3: Systems Strengthening
1. Development of clinical protocols and referral pathways.
2. Establishment of multidisciplinary neurotrauma teams.
Activities Cluster 4: Awareness and Advocacy
1. Community education on injury prevention.
2. Engagement with health authorities to integrate neurosurgery in national health plans.
The clusters are interlinked: training enhances human capacity to utilize new equipment effectively;
protocols ensure standardized care; and awareness supports early intervention and sustainability.
